My max channels would drop from 128 (PCIeR) to 64, I don't yet know if the latency would increase, and I'd have to build a new PC to have TB3 ports. That would be great because I'd have the 32×32 channels I need free for analog processing + have 12 additional inputs for drums/tracking + 4×4 channels free for more analog processing and still have 16×16 channels left for when I add (2) 1073OPX w/ Dante cards after the Atmos setup is finished later next year BUT. ![]() I'd be selling the Monitor ST and, if I'm not mistaken, the PCIeR would no longer have a purpose so I think I'd be selling that to because apparently the Red16Line connects via Thunderbolt3 and basically acts as a Dante to TB3 bridge to connect the Dante network to the PC/DAW. The biggest "bang for my buck" seems to be adding a Red16Line and keeping the R1 remote. Upgrading the Dangerous Music Monitor ST to 7.1.4 would require 3 SR units, providing power for the 4 unit system, sending 2 into Dangerous for mods, and sending them the remote for a firmware mod. I thought I'd cracked the code on how to get an Atmos mon-con without spending too much when I ordered a RedNet A16R and RedNet R1 but, as Focusrite Pro explained to me earlier today, the R1 only pairs with RedxPre/RedxLine units.
